Terms of Service

Effective date: October 10, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lawyer Directory Platform (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time, as described in "Changes to These Terms" below. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Who Can Use the Site

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. By using the Site, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Accounts and Registration

Some features of the Site, such as leaving a review or managing an attorney or firm listing, may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Not a Law Firm; No Attorney-Client Relationship

Lawyer Directory Platform is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We operate a directory that helps you find attorneys and law firms; we do not recommend, endorse, or vouch for any particular attorney or firm, and we are not a party to any engagement between you and an attorney or firm you contact through the Site.

Using the Site, including submitting a contact form to an attorney, does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Lawyer Directory Platform, or between you and any attorney or firm, until that attorney or firm agrees to represent you. Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes and is not legal advice for your specific situation.

Reviews, Ratings and Other User Content

If you submit a review, rating, comment or other content ("User Content"), you are solely responsible for it. You represent that your User Content is accurate, that you have the right to post it, and that it does not violate any law or the rights of any third party.

By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display and distribute it on the Site and in our marketing, for as long as the content remains posted or as otherwise permitted by law. We may remove or decline to publish User Content that violates these Terms or our review guidelines, including content that is false, defamatory, abusive, or unrelated to an actual experience with the attorney or firm reviewed.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes, misappropriates or violates anyone's rights;
  • Post false, misleading, defamatory or impersonating content, including fake reviews;
  • Scrape, crawl or harvest data from the Site using automated means without our prior written permission;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, other users' accounts, or our systems; or
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation, including through malware or excessive automated requests.

Attorney and Law Firm Listings

If you are an attorney or law firm, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your listing, including your name, firm name, practice areas, location and contact details. You agree to comply with the advertising and solicitation rules of the bar associations and jurisdictions where you practice. We may remove or edit listings that are inaccurate, outdated, or that violate these Terms.

Fees

Some features, such as enhanced attorney or firm listings, may be offered for a fee. If you purchase a paid feature, you agree to pay the fees described at the time of purchase. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.

Intellectual Property

The Site, including its design, text, graphics and underlying software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for User Content you post, you may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Site without our prior written permission.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to attorney and law firm websites and other third-party sites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those sites. Any dealings you have with an attorney, firm, or other third party found through the Site are solely between you and that third party.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that information on the Site, including attorney listings and reviews, is accurate, complete or current.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lawyer Directory Platform and its officers, employees and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Site will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us, if any, in the six months before the claim arose.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Lawyer Directory Platform and its officers, employees and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, including any account, at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason. You may also stop using the Site, or request that we close your account, at any time.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Lawyer Directory Platform is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us so we can attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Placeholder — add your company's actual governing-law jurisdiction and, if you intend to use arbitration or a class-action waiver, have an attorney draft that language for this section.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
